Project Description

Species:  American Toad

American Toads are common amphibians of the Audubon Center. The toad’s body color is variable, but most are brown to tan, with a white-grey belly. Their bodies are covered in a large number of warts (which are skin glands).

Fun Fact:
Toads will spend the winter underground burrowed down 5-25″ deep.
