Project Description

Located about a block and a half south of our main campus, Lowry Lodge is a split-level building that provides lodging for up to 28 people (in 5 rooms) and meeting space for 50-60 in the attached Bremer Classroom.

Lowry Lodge Amenities:
  • Split-level 3,500 square foot building with 5 dormitory-style lodging rooms, lounge area with wood stove, and large Bremer classroom with full-size kitchen
  • Lower level lodging, classroom and bathrooms are ADA accessible
  • Each room sleeps 4-6 people and features solid wood bunks with shared bathrooms (separate men and women multi-stall)
  • Lodging capacity of up to 14 adults (lower bunks only) or 28 students (top and bottom bunks) with optional bedding
  • Lovely mural depicting the different Minnesota biomes (ecosystems)
  • Wireless Internet and AV capabilities/ equipment
  • Available for schools, groups, conferences and retreats!

Energy Conservation Improvements:
  • Offset 2”x 4”s with fiberglass batting insulation
  • Low flow aerators and showerheads
  • Lighting upgrade of 13w CFLs to 7 w LEDs
  • Programmable thermostats
  • Lamp wraps and tube lights reduced from 32w to 25w
  • Weather stripping around Bremer door
  • New efficient wood stove
  • Off-peak electric brick heating in Bremer Classroom
  • Energy Star rated refrigerator and water dispenser
